Application Consultation

The best way to begin working with us is to schedule a Consultation with one of our Managing Editors. The Consultation takes approximately two hours and can be done over the phone or via video hook-up. Your editor will spend some time getting to know you and your situation, helping you identify weaknesses in your application, and making a strategy for turning those weaknesses to your advantage.

The Consultation will give you a firm roadmap for preparing your law school application. You will know exactly how to begin working on your personal statement, how best to prepare for the LSAT, what to include in your resume, whom to ask for letters and how to approach them, and what addenda you’ll need.

When you contact us to schedule a Consultation, let us know several dates and times you will be available, and we will try to match your schedule.  We will send you back a questionnaire to gather the basic facts of your law school application. Simply complete the questionnaire and return it to us before the date of the Consultation.

Once you complete a Consultation, you may deduct the full $100 from the price of either the Full Application Service or the Unlimited Editing package. This makes the Consultation the perfect place to get started.

Unlimited Editing for Personal Statement

Unlimited Editing gives you the opportunity to work one-on-one with a highly qualified ASLLC tutor who will guide you through the entire statement writing process, draft by draft, from beginning to end.  We strongly recommend Unlimited Editing, because it yields the highest quality essays.  We charge a flat fee so that you won’t need to watch the clock or worry about how much it will cost.  You and your editor can both slow down, take your time, and do your absolute best work.  Your editor will continue coaching and helping you until you have an outstanding statement.  The process varies between individuals, but it generally requires ten to twenty drafts.  It’s a lot of work, but in the end you’ll have a stand-out essay and be able to certify that you wrote it.

Personal Statement Hourly Editing

If you only want help in the finishing stages of the essay, you can hire an ASLLC tutor to give you feedback on a draft you’ve already written.  You can indicate what level of editing you want (e.g. mere proofreading, sentence-by-sentence feedback, or analysis on the overall appropriateness of content). Reading and thoroughly responding to one draft generally takes one hour. Obviously, the more detailed feedback you want, the longer it will take. There is a thirty minute minimum charge for all hourly work.

Personal Statement On-Line Clinic

We include short biographies of the individual writers and the responses each essay brought from law schools.
